The 11th Annual Breezy Point Aviation Day took over Breezy Point Airport on Saturday, May 2, 2026, and it was exactly the kind of spring event the Lakes Area does so well: planes rolling in, classic cars lined up, families wandering the grounds, kids pointing at everything, and plenty of “okay, that is pretty cool” moments.
Hosted at Breezy Point Airport / Muller Field, the event brought together aircraft displays, emergency vehicles, a Medi-Vac helicopter, classic cars, free lunch, drinks, ice cream, and a whole lot of people enjoying a beautiful day outside.
A Great Day for Plane People, Car People, and “I Just Like Cool Stuff” People
One of the best parts about Breezy Point Aviation Day is that you do not have to be an aviation expert to enjoy it.
Sure, if you know your aircraft, there was plenty to look at.
But even if your official aviation knowledge starts and ends with “that one looks fast,” this event still delivers. There were planes to check out up close, pilots and aircraft owners sharing their passion, classic cars shining in the sun, and enough activity around the airport to keep families moving from one display to the next.
It is one of those events where kids get wide-eyed, adults turn into kids for a few minutes, and everyone ends up saying some version of:
“Okay, that was pretty sweet.”
The Kids Had the Right Idea
If there was one thing that stood out, it was how perfect this event is for families.
Kids got to see aircraft up close, check out emergency vehicles, spot the helicopter, walk around the classic cars, and experience an airport setting in a way that feels fun, open, and approachable.
There is just something about planes, fire trucks, helicopters, and classic cars all in one place that pretty much handles the entertainment for you.
No tablet required.
A Full Camera Roll Kind of Event
Camp Nisswa made the trip up to Breezy Point Aviation Day, and let’s just say the camera did not get much of a break.
Between the planes, the cars, the runway action, the families, the details, and the overall “spring in the Lakes Area” energy, there was a lot to capture.
So here it is: our Breezy Point Aviation Day 2026 photo gallery.
Scroll through, tag someone who loves planes, classic cars, or a good local event, and consider this your reminder to put this one on the calendar next year.
Because yes, we would absolutely go again.
Thanks for a Great Day, Breezy Point
A big shoutout to everyone involved with Breezy Point Aviation Day for putting together such a fun, family-friendly event in the Lakes Area.
