There are some weekends in Nisswa that just remind you exactly why people love this town — and Nisswa Winter Jubilee 2026 was one of them. (February 13-15, 2026)

From live music and line dancing on Friday night, to a packed Saturday parade, wood-splitting contest, community meal, bags tournament, and a full Sunday on the ice and on stage, this year’s Jubilee was full of energy, tradition, and community spirit from start to finish.

And before we get into the gallery, we want to give a big shoutout where it is absolutely deserved:

The Nisswa Chamber took the event over this year and did an amazing job, alongside the Nisswa Winter Jubilee Committee. It takes a lot of planning, coordination, volunteers, and local support to pull off a weekend like this — and it showed. The weekend felt organized, welcoming, fun, and full of that classic Jubilee spirit people know and love.

This was a big year for Winter Jubilee, and Nisswa showed up.

Here’s our photo gallery recap of The Great Nisswa Snowdown | Nisswa Winter Jubilee 2026.

Friday Night Kickoff Fun

Jubilee weekend kicked off the right way Friday night with a full slate of fun around town.

The Nisswa American Legion was packed for the kickoff party, featuring line dancing with Reins & Rhythm Line Dancing by Abby Jo and live music from Seth Doud. From there, the night rolled over to Ye Old Pickle Factory, where Kings Ransom kept the energy going and the crowd rocking.

It was one of those nights that felt like the perfect start to a Nisswa tradition — familiar faces, new faces, and a whole lot of people ready for a great weekend.

Saturday Morning Festivities and the Parade

Saturday morning brought the kind of parade atmosphere that made it feel like the old days in the best possible way.

Folks lined the streets, families bundled up, and the community showed up ready for a winter parade in downtown Nisswa. The parade entries came ready to have fun, and you could tell people put time and effort into making it a great show.

Candy was flying, smiles were everywhere, and the crowd brought the kind of energy that makes small-town events so special.

It was an awesome way to kick off the day and a great reminder of how much people love Winter Jubilee.

Saturday Afternoon | Wood-Splitting Contest at the Nisswa Community Center

If you wanted action Saturday afternoon, the wood-splitting contest delivered.

Held in the parking lot of the Nisswa Community Center, competitors stepped up with axes in hand, game faces on, and one goal in mind: beat Paul Bunyan’s record.

The countdown hit — 3…2…1…go — and it was on.

Axes were swinging, wood was flying, and the crowd was all in. There was plenty of cheering, a lot of laughter, and more than a few moments where you could tell this contest is no joke.

When it wrapped up, the top three took home prizes, but honestly, everyone walked away with a good story and a smile. And in true Nisswa fashion, the event ended with people jumping in to help load the wood back into the truck.

That is Winter Jubilee.

Saturday Afternoon Continued | Nisswa Lions Community Meal and Bags Tournament

Saturday afternoon kept rolling with another great community-centered stop: the Nisswa Lions Club’s first Community Meal and the bags tournament at the Nisswa Community Center.

The Lions served up chili and chili dogs, the building filled up, and the bags tournament brought a packed house with plenty of friendly competition. Bags were flying, cheers were echoing, and it looked like everyone was having a blast.

About 20 teams jumped in, and the energy in the room was exactly what you hope for during Jubilee weekend — local people coming together, having fun, and supporting each other.

And one of the best moments came after the tournament, when players stuck around to help stack chairs and tables and get the Lions float back into the garage.

That kind of thing might not make the headline, but it says everything about this community.

Saturday Night Fun | Live Music, Costumes, and a Full Night in Nisswa

Saturday night brought another round of Winter Jubilee fun across town.

From Tequila Tom doing his thing at the Nisswa American Legion to Smiley Road rocking Ye Old Pickle Factory, the music scene was strong all night. Add in the costume contest, and there was an extra layer of fun that made the night even better.

Everywhere you turned, there was something going on — music, laughter, people catching up, and that classic Jubilee weekend feeling that makes downtown Nisswa such a fun place to be.

Sunday | Nisswa Fire Department Annual Fishing Derby Back on the Ice

Sunday brought one of the most iconic Winter Jubilee traditions back where everyone loves to see it — on the ice.

The Nisswa Fire Department Annual Fishing Derby returned to Nisswa Lake, and the crew was out early drilling holes and getting everything ready before the crowds rolled in. Once the action started, people poured onto the lake like it was the hottest ticket in town (no pun intended).

Buckets, sleds, lawn chairs, and plenty of “this is my spot” confidence filled the ice, all while supporting a great cause.

Between the fishing, the food, the raffles, and the Nisswa Fire Department doing what they do best — serving the community — it was the perfect way to spend a winter Sunday in Nisswa.

Sunday Night Finale | The Nisswa All-Star Jam at Ye Old Pickle Factory

And then came the grand finale.

The Nisswa All-Star Jam at Ye Old Pickle Factory was exactly what the name promises — an all-star finish to an incredible weekend. With 25+ bands and performers hitting the stage, the music rolled from late afternoon into the evening and kept the energy going all night long.

Local tunes. Local smiles. Local people showing up for local music.

It was one of those moments that just felt like Nisswa.

This was community.

This was tradition.

This was one heck of a Winter Jubilee.

Thank You to Everyone Who Made It Happen

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make The Great Nisswa Snowdown | Nisswa Winter Jubilee 2026 such a memorable weekend — the organizers, volunteers, local businesses, musicians, parade entries, event participants, and everyone who came out and supported the fun.

And again, a special shoutout to the Nisswa Chamber and the Nisswa Winter Jubilee Committee for taking on a big year and doing an amazing job. It was a great weekend for the community, and it was awesome to see Winter Jubilee in such good hands.

We had a blast capturing these moments and sharing them through this gallery.
