There’s nothing quite like Turtle Race Day in Nisswa—especially when it's Freedom Days! On July 3, 2025, the Turtle Track behind the Nisswa Chamber was packed with locals and visitors ready to cheer on the slow-and-steady stars of the show.
We were there soaking in the sunshine, grabbing ice cream, rocking our Camp Nisswa gear, and snapping photos of this iconic summertime tradition. From first-time racers to seasoned turtle handlers, the energy was high and the shells were fast (well, Nisswa-fast).
