Nisswa Freedom Days took over downtown Nisswa on July 3, 2026, and what a day it was!
From experiencing the Freedom Days Parade for the first time as participants to enjoying live music throughout the day, turtle races, cheese curds, smiling faces and the Nisswa Lions’ World Famous Pork-on-a-Stick, every part of the celebration reminded us why summer in Nisswa is so special. Being in the parade was an experience we will never forget. Seeing Main Street filled with families, friends, visitors and familiar faces cheering along the route made it even more meaningful. The energy throughout town was incredible, and everywhere we looked, people were celebrating America’s 250th birthday together.
The celebration continued well into the evening before North Star Fireworks lit up the sky with an absolutely amazing fireworks display. It was the perfect ending to what may have been the most patriotic day ever, and it all happened right here in Nisswa!
A day this special does not happen without a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes.
Thank you to the Nisswa Chamber of Commerce, its staff, the volunteers, community partners, sponsors, local businesses, parade participants, musicians, vendors, public safety teams and everyone in between who helped make Nisswa Freedom Days such a memorable celebration.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came to Nisswa, supported local organizations and businesses, cheered during the parade and celebrated alongside our community.
