Supporting Local Talent on the Ice

At Camp Nisswa, there is always something special about finally making it out to an event that has been on the radar for a while. That was the case with the Breezy Point Figure Skating Club.

A few years ago, some of our crew first got to know members of the Breezy Point Figure Skating Club during their Sunday meat raffle at Snarky Loon. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and easy to root for. We had told them that if the schedule ever lined up, we would love to attend one of their events.

This year, we were finally able to make it happen.

It was such a joy to watch these young skaters perform and to see the talent, effort, and dedication that goes into putting on a show like this. From the performances on the ice to the energy in the building, it was easy to see how much work goes in behind the scenes to make these events come together.

That is one of the things we always appreciate most around here — local groups putting in the time, heart, and effort to create something special for the community. The Breezy Point Figure Skating Club is doing exactly that, and it was great to finally experience it in person.

As many of you know, we at Camp Nisswa love supporting local, and we were so glad we had the chance to catch this event and put together a photo gallery from the day.

When you get the chance, make it a point to get out and support one of their future shows. It is a fun local event and a great way to cheer on these young skaters and the people helping make it all happen.
