2025 Moonlite Bay Cardboard Boat Races

The annual summer tradition at Moonlite Bay in Crosslake, MN is one of those events locals and visitors alike circle on the calendar every year. On Saturday, August 9, 2025, the docks were packed and the excitement was high for another round of the always-entertaining Cardboard Boat Races.


The day kicked off in dramatic fashion as the Red Bull Air Force Sky Diving Team flew over the bay, jumped from the plane, and parachuted down to make a splash landing right between the docks. From there, the kids’ races brought plenty of laughs and cheers before the adults took their turn on the water.
